Offcamber Round 4

So Round 4 of the race series I've been dipping my pedal in, not so good. Had been poorly with some sort of virus in the lead up to the weekend. Hoped it had passed before Sunday, felt ok at the start and made good progress up the first climb, aided by the chap that ultimately won, he made a good hole in the headwind!  After half a lap I felt all the energy drain from my legs, I guess I wasn't over it as much as I thought.  Hung on to the end and came a surprising 13th.  Conditions were muddy but not as soft as Round 3, some rain on lap 2 certainly slicked the surface up a bit.  Fingers crossed for better health in January!

Offcamber Round 3

Third round of the mountain bike race series I've been doing, much more slippery this month! Some parts got better as the laps went by, other bits got more challenging. Absolute blast again, a jammed chain did cost a chunk of time and a possible place but other than that went pretty well.

Finished 8th again and some how I'm leading the series at the moment!

Really well organised event, and a very friendly atmosphere.

Round 2 of the Offcamber XC series

Second round of the series and some very different riding conditions, dry weather but some wet ground and slippery climbs to add to the challenge. Great fun again and somehow came away with fourth place!

Winter tan lines

The time had come to swap those summer tan lines for the winter version. Rain has arrived and the trails are getting muddy

First race

First go at racing a couple of weeks back, certainly tough going, came away with 8th place of 65 though. Pretty chuffed, will have to have another go!

Somewhere different

Fancied going off road and taking advantage of the pretty dry conditions. Headed north west, some mixed terrain, amazing views, fun single track and a few big hills.. Had it all. Good day!

Sunday mtb ride

Great ride out on the mountain bike after a week off the bikes on holiday. Lots of new trails, attacked by a bramble and a couple of water crossings.
